I am a multi-disciplinary artist working across sculpture, painting, film and performance.

My practice explores gender politics, generational transmission, motherhood and domesticity. Making is at the centre of my process. I often start by recreating an object, (eg, a ladder) then I play with performance, interacting with the work and making photographs or film. The objects I make often become something else, in performance.

Working with textiles brings me back to joyful moments in my childhood because my mother and grandmother did a lot of sewing. I have memories of the three of us with lots of fabric on the floor, making things, bonding the generations.

As a mother, I sometimes include my child in my making process. There is always this travelling from everyday life and motherhood, and bringing that into the work and vice versa.
